We have new winners!

Just so we’re all clear, I HATE picking new winners.  I want everybody to be checking in on the drawing date for their name and I want every original member rightfully chosen as the winner to claim their prize!  Unfortunately people forget, get lazy, or whatever, and now we get all of this interesting drama!!  Looks like being an active Scholarship Points member really pays off, huh?

SO, with that, I’m letting you know that we have officially chosen NEW Scholarship Winners

I repeat, the only way to see if you’re a winner is to view the Winner’s Page HERE


  • And while we’re at it, if you’re name is NOT on the winner’s page at the drawing date, please don’t e-mail me telling me you’re a winner.  I won’t accidentally mail you a check for the scholarship.  This just clogs my inbox and makes me want to go Captain J on your you know what.
  • But if your name is on the winner’s list, for the love of all that is holy please e-mail me!  The directions on what to do are on the winner’s page.  It’s $2500 bucks we’re talking about here, sheesh!

And if none of these 3 winners contact me, I’m choosing new ones on March 10th.  Happy ScholarshipPointing!

    Winning a scholarship would be a wonderful blessing for me because I am unemployed and going to Kaplan University to get my Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management so I can get a good job to support my family and eventually start my own business to help the younger generation in our community to achieve their goals.     i agree with tiffaney . im also the first person in my family to go to college. And cant afford a dorm but have to work for all my expenses too. I dont care ill work for it but my school is just asking for way to much money. I guess thats the price you pay when your dream is on the line!

    I sure hope I am a winner! I would absolutely love to receive a scholarship! I want to go to college and be the first person in my family to graduate, but I do not want to have to see my parents pay that expensive bill for college. This would help out tremendously!

    @Meng, I hope you win too! But there are so many options out there when it comes to your education. For instance, many times with a private loan, you can borrow up to the entire cost of school. Rates have never been lower. More info is available @ http://www.privatestudentloans.com

    If I had been picked, I would have replied immediately! I can't afford to lose a penny, what with college just around the corner! I cannot believe how many people did not reply. But Robyn is right. Not everyone has constant access to a computer or laptop, and there should be other ways winners can claim their prizes.

    i think that the old way of notifying winners was less complicated. as college students, we are constantly on the go and can't always be near a computer. phone calls are easier and will probably gain a better response from the winners. if the only reason they lose the scholarship is that they were doing something for school and had no internet access, it's not fair. they've been on the site earning points and deserve their winnings.

    Lisa – Scholarships drawings are monthly, with winner selected at the beginning of the month for the prior month's scholarships.
