With a 50,000 scholarship, I would pay my tuition at Ohio State or Kent State Univ. in Medical Technology. Then put the rest towards my goal of becoming a Forensic Pathologist.

A $50,000 scholarship would be incredible. It would make much more possible for me as I am a full time mom, full time student, and full time worker. Wow, I can't even imagine it!

  7. Narda says on July 9, 2010 at 9:45 am:

With the 50,000 i would be able to pay for undergraduate school and not have to rely on student loans which could take me forever to pay off. 50K would be an awesome start to my future career!!!!

  8. Betty says on July 9, 2010 at 6:12 am:

WHEN I WIN, I will pay off all my college loans which have accumulated so far and be able to pay for the rest of my college. – Then I hope I still have enough to help me get settled in the town where I first teach. IF I have any extra, I would be able to buy things I will need for my classroom and my students as I will be teaching in areas where there is a shortage of teachers.

  9. Evan Albertson says on July 8, 2010 at 3:51 pm:

Wow, I know everyone is excited about this scholarship, who wouldn't be. Imagining what it would be like to have yourself taken care of while in school is a very tempting thought, and can easily take a debt burden student or prospect to "better places." I would use it to pay for my Education tuition, so in a way it would be in investment in the future leaders of America! :-)

  10. Kristoffer martin says on July 8, 2010 at 3:05 pm:

50,000 dollars would be enough for me to pay off all of my initial college loans and pay for the vast majority of my graduate studies at Aberystwyth Wales University. So that is exactly what I'd use it for, paying off the money I already owe, and to make sure I don't have to take out more loans for my graduate studies.

If I had $50,000, I would pay the bills for the upcoming semester and pay my parents for the money they put down for the past semesters. The scholarship would alleviate some stress on both parties, and enable me to start saving to put my parents and a family friend through school. I had made a promise that if and when I become published, I would help my parents and friend through school and help them fulfill the dreams they had put on hold.

  14. Trenton J. says on July 8, 2010 at 3:43 am:

If I won a scholarship for $50k, I would have a lighter load in the student loans department, definitely would replace my weak laptop and seriously consider graduate school.

  15. Linh Pham says on July 7, 2010 at 2:10 pm:

If I won a $50,000 scholarship I would use it towards the unmet need that my family and I are trying to cover in order for me to attend UCLA. It would take off a tremendous amount of stress, so that I would not have to worry about how I expect to pay for college. Also, since I would not have such a great need for a job, I could dedicate more time to my studies, which in the end will highly benefit me into getting into medical school.

If i had a 50,000 dollarship I could go to the University of Missouri Columbia and major in animal science and then get my phd so I could become a veterinarian. I come from a middle waged family. We have trouble just keeping up with our bills much less paying for my college. So i would greatly appreciate this scholarship and it would benift me and my family a ton.

  20. Amanda Lamb says on July 7, 2010 at 5:16 am:

A scholarship for that much would be absolutely wonderful…My family is poor and so am I, so I'll probably be struggling with the whole "college" deal when I go through with it. I'll probably have to work so much to pay everything off that I won't be able to enjoy the experience. With a $50,000 scholarship I could easy pay for my first and second year's tuition and possibly even rent.

  21. taiyana stephens says on July 7, 2010 at 5:04 am:

A $50,000 scholarship would mean the world to me! I would be able to pay off my loan and all the fees that come with it. My parents wouldn't have to worry for me because I get easily stressed out, but this money would help me alot.

  22. adrienne says on July 7, 2010 at 4:39 am:

I would use it towards my tuition and books for college. My twin sister and I are going into college at the same time, we want to get into the best college we can possibly get into, and together. Unfortunately, with our older brother also in college my parents money is not inexhaustible. My father has always worked so hard for all of us to have an education. With this scholarship, I would use it to ease the pressure off his back as it was never his.

  23. Olivia says on July 7, 2010 at 2:49 am:

Receiving a $50,000 scholarship would mean my tightly squeezed lower middle middle class parents would be able to quit stressing about how to afford the portion of my schooling that my academic scholarships do not cover. A blessing it would be and we could all relax. I could even begin to think that a Master's degree is possible – college and grad school are a lot more expensive now than when my mom earned her Master's.

  24. Sharon says on July 7, 2010 at 2:43 am:

Wow $50,000. With my inability to get student loans, it will help me pay for this semester and then in my last fall semester, which includes an internship and forced to give up my paying job, would not only pay for that internship and classes but expenses too. Not to mention the over $20k in credit card debt and $10k student loan I have because of tuition. I think I may need more than $50k now think about it.

$50,000 dollars would allow me more free time to actually stay on the books!!! I work to pay for school and school will lead to a career in which I will be prepared for. Not having to work now or working less hours so I can study more is much needed. I am crossing my fingers at the slim chance that i win.

  29. Julia Muzzy says on July 6, 2010 at 7:00 pm:

Recently, I’ve fallen into financial hardship. I work very hard in school, and without scholarships, I won’t be able to finish my pharmacy program. I’m already half way through with my program, and truly want to become a clinical pharmacist. Pharmacy isn’t about the money to me, it’s about the patients. I want to work closely with physicians and offer the best possible therapeutic options for patients with chronic disease. I’m trying to get everything I can out of school so that I can truly serve patients and make their life better.

I am currently an undergrad that attends Shepherd University, but I plan on transferring to Seton Hill which is my dream school!! I would use $50,000 to advance myself in the psychology field. I plan on going for my Ph.D in psychology and this money would help me in achieving my dream!

  31. Sekoia says on July 6, 2010 at 2:04 pm:

50K would be a God Send! I could pay for school without being placed further in debt. I could complete my undergraduate degree on time, as opposed to taking time off due to finances. A lot of my friends have had to do this, and I don't want to be in that position.

I would also be able to finish college with less stress because it is a lot of money and with not being able to recieve any finicial aid it is very hard. Im 19 and I am paying my own way through college. I would be able to work less so it would be able to leave me with more time to focus on my work.
