12.31.08 | A very important Zoom Panel update
Hey Guys,
I have a bit of news. We’ve noticed a ton of duplicate applicants in the ZoomPanel monthly scholarship. We get the message. You want more than one attempt at an additional monthly scholarship, and we don’t blame you. So we’ve got your back. Starting Jan 1, we’re pumping up the monthly scholarships in both money and chances to win. How are we doing that? Why, I thought you’d never ask.
Instead of the $1,000 we give away each month through Zoom, we’re going to do a couple things for you…
- For one, everyone who has previously signed up for ZoomPanel or new signups will now receive 5x daily login points (If you log in every day for a month, that’s 150 points!–>look for this to go into effect Jan. 1)
- And I know you’re bummed that the $1,000 scholarship is gone…so we’re doubling it! And then some! If you take a look at the enter scholarships page, you’ll see that from January through June, we’ve added 6 $2,500 monthly scholarships, plus a bonus $10,000 scholarship in July!
I told you we had your back. For you math majors, that’s an additional $25,000 in extra scholarships next year.
We’ve been throwing wrinkles into the system lately, and for that I apologize. We’re tweaking things here and there it’s a process. But we’re just trying to make 2009 the best year it can be for ScholarshipPoints. I think all of those extra daily login points and using them to enter into the extra $25,000 in scholarships is a good start, don’t you?

You guys still haven't addressed the issue for those of us that may have signed up with ZoomPanel with a different email address than we signed up with at SP. How are we supposed to get the points if you don't even know it's us? Plus, we didn't get the points for signing up with ZP in the first place!
Not to mention, why can't I login today, when the big monthly drawing is supposed to be? I've tried two browsers, clearing my cache– nothing works! What's up with that!?
Me, too! I continously log in! But it tells me to log in again and again. So I can't see my profile, I can't log in point codes, I cant do much except look at scholarshippoints.com, like any other newbie can.

I am a previously signed up zoompanel member and havent recieved this benefit when i logged in today. hopefully it will atleast take effect tomorrow.

I don't quite understand how this works. I was a member of ZoomPanel before I became a member here, so I how do I get the points for that?
I also signed up for ZoomPanel a while ago and never got anything for it. I never got the original points, and now I have not received the 5x log in. This is a big disadvantage to everyone who does not get the extra log in points, especially if they actually did the survey and deserve the points. There is obviously some sort of lack of communication between the 2 companies since I am not the only one this has happened to.

It's happened to me, too. I've been a zoompanel member for quite a while now and still have not received the points for joining or the 5x log-in points.
And if this applies to NEW members only, that's not fair.
Hooray, I am finally able to login again today. Yes, the additional 25K in scholarship opportunities is TERRIFIC news!!! My thanks go out to ScholarshipPoints & StudentPlatinum for making these additional scholarships available to all students. You guys definitely run a terrific site, that has grown leaps & bounds since I first joined just less than a year ago. Keep up the great work … I definitely appreciate the extra chances at winning free money.
PS. Appears that the 5x daily points may still not be working, although I am now getting the 2x points. With all the changes going on, I imagine you are still working out some of the kinks.

I tried this when it first got mentioned a few weeks ago, and tried again just now. It still says there was an error in sending my info to Zoom panel, and I have still been u nable to email anyone here successfully (bounces back). Ithink it's important that everybody get an equal chance at getting their initial points for doing this and, more importantly, their 2x or now 5x for daily login. It's very unfair for anyone to be left out of this opportunity.
