When searching for scholarships it is important to remember that there are scholarships for everyone. Scholarships are not just for valedictorians, star athletes or prodigy musicians. There are scholarships for people with all academic abilities, talents and hobbies.

So where do you find these scholarships?

StudentScholarshipSearch.com is one website that can help you find scholarships that you qualify for. There are new scholarships on the site every day. You can search for scholarships by specific keywords, or just browse until you find ones that interest you.

The summer is also a great time to put together a scholarship calendar. Not every scholarship contest will be open for submissions during the summer. In fact, many scholarship deadlines fall in April, May and June and are awarded in time for the following school year. If you missed the boat on a scholarship that you think you might have had a chance of winning, put the call for entries date and the deadline on your calendar for the following year.

    I agree with this. I have a calendar with the dates and names of scholarships, and below it I have a binder with all the information I need for the scholarship. (Now that I got my laptop I'm trying to computerize it.) Heres to knowing what to expect next year when getting scholarships!
