Give yourself a hand!
Why am I particularly jazzed up today, you ask? Well folks, last night, ScholarshipPoints.com surpassed the 250,000 member mark!! I know applause should be dealt somewhere, so I say give yourself a round of it. That’s 1/4 million of you hard earning pointateers out there walking through the ScholarshipPoints doors taking surveys, reading blogs and other cool stuff to win free scholarships. Bravo.
And speaking of scholarship winners, we have a drawing coming up! We’re going to try and pin it to the 1st of every month, but since Captain J will be at home preparing various Superbowl cuisines on Sunday, Feb 1st, we’re going to have to wait for the work week (if you have any unique ideas for Superbowl food, post them below!!). So, on Feb 2nd, 2009, the winners will be posted by noon. If you check the homepage, you’ll see a giant orange button directing you where you need to go. Winners page. I’ll post the winners and 2 runners up for each scholarship, so LOOK FOR YOUR NAME. If you see it, contact us at members@scholarshippoints.com with a nice big readable subject heading like I AM THE WINNER.
Remember, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO WIN. I won’t be calling/e-mailing the winners anymore. This way ALL scholarships go to regular, deserving customers! You earned the points, so you should reap the rewards, right?

One more question: If we built a cool Facebook application where it would show in your newsfeed that you entered a bonuscode like “Suzie Whatshername just earned 20 points by Digging Debt Reduction!”, would you use it? I think it would be pretty darn cool, what about you guys? Comment below.

I as of right now do not have a facebook. But I think every one likes to see their own name and it is also a better way for others students to discover the scholarship points website and join!

This is awsome I didnt know that there was this kind of website where you can earn points and mabye earn a scholarship. So is that how it works I just log in and read the information and that way I earn my points???? Or how does this work???

I’ve never used facebook, and don’t know what it is. If Scholorship Points got involved (and explained it to those of us who lived without computers until last year), them I would certainly check it out.

You normally get 1 point for logging in. Completing the Zoom gets you 4 points, plus your normal 1 point = 5x login points. Sorry for any confusion

I like the facebook app idea. Maybe it would attract some of my friends to this site. They know that I do lots of stuff to try and win scholarships, but they don’t ever seem to go to the sites I tell them about!
As far as superbowl recipes, this is one of my faves: pigs in a blanket. Flatten out instant bicuits (the kind that come in a can), spread some cream cheese on it, wrap it around a lil smokie, and bake in the oven!
