Winter break is here, and while it may be tempting, try not to get sucked in to doing NOTHING.  Sure, it’s a great time to relax, see your family and high school pals, eat real food, etc.  But you can also make excellent use of your time by winning a scholarship for next semester.  Since I just graduated this past May, this winter holiday season marks the first time I don’t get a month break from school and work.  Bummer, I know.  But if a ScholarshipPoints member wins one of these monthly scholarships below, well, I think that would be AWESOME.  Always remember, every $500 or $1,000 or $10,000  that you can come up with in scholarships is that much less that you have to pay back in student loans. Here’s a brief rundown of each scholarship:

  • WinningSurveys.com Scholarship: an extremely simple signup for your shot to win $50,000 bucks.  No reason not to sign up.  They also give out $1,500 and $3,500 scholarships more frequently than the $50k

    @Mitsu, of course people win these scholarships. I've spoken to each of these companies personally – and have even contacted some of the winners on Facebook to check.

    Not to sound negative or ungrateful, but I would really like to know if anybody ever actually WINS any of those scholarships. I don't see the incentive for those companies to just hand out $10,000, and I've never actually heard of anyone winning.

    The Free College Scholarship and the Military Scholarship have to be confirmed from your e-mail to be entered. It will show up in your e-mail if you did everything right.

    Anyone else having problems with winningsurveys.com? I try to register and I keep getting an error message that they can't verify my address. I'm entering it correctly, and have tried a few variations (Avenue instead of Ave….).
