12.22.09 | New Scholarships Alert!
Hello scholarship seekers and happy holidays! I decided I could not pass up the opportunity to tell you about a few more new scholarships before we all break for a few days. I have some really good ones for you this week.
The thing I want to tell you about is the Jackie Robinson Foundation’s Scholarship Program. The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides scholarships of up to $7,500 annually to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need to attend an accredited 4-year college or university of their choice.
The second scholarship I have to tell you about is for all of you artists out there. The annual Jay Kennedy Scholarship is awarded in memory for the late King Features editor. It is funded by a grand and by many generous cartoonists. The award is given to the best college cartoonist and the recipient is featured at the annual NCS Reuben Awards Convention.
The final scholarship I have to tell you about this week is the NARM Scholarship awarded by the Music Business Association. This scholarship is open to high school seniors who will be entering college in the fall. Scholarship winners are selected based on financial need and academic achievement.
