Happy end of the month, scholarship hunters! By this point, I bet a lot of you have already started school, or are getting ready to move in. Have you been searching for scholarships to help pay for school this year? If you have not, then it’s definitely a great time to start. We’ve just added a few scholarships to StudentScholarshipSearch that some of our female readers may be interested in!
The first of several new scholarships you will find is the Dorothy Harris Scholarship. This scholarship was established in 1990 to honor women’s sports teacher and leader Dr. Dorothy Harris. The scholarship supports female masters and doctoral students who are focusing their studies on physical education, sport management, sport psychology, or sport sociology. Applicants are evaluated based on career goals, grade point averages, financial need, research studies, and sport participation.
Another new scholarship is the College Scholarships Foundation’s Women’s Scholarship. As the roles of women as both family caretakers and workforce members have increased, they spend more time caring for household members while also maintaining careers. This scholarship helps deserving female students with their education expenses so that they may continue to care for future generations while simultaneously obtaining a post-secondary degree and entering the workforce.
One final scholarship worth checking out is the Microsoft Graduate Women’s Scholarship Program. Sponsored by Microsoft Research, this one-year scholarship program is for outstanding female graduate students, and is designed to help the growing number of women pursuing Ph.D.’s in the United States. Women who are interested in this scholarship should apply during their first year of studies.

its great that there are special new scholarships just for women. i guess there are specific reasons as to why they are designed for women. taking care of her family and her career- this article would most likely interest a person like so. to take the opportunity to survey and apply for the scholarship to win, to make life easier for herself. i think this program is great for women.
