Hi there scholarship seekers! I hope your week is going well and that your summer jobs are keeping you busy. Are you finding any time to search for scholarships? If not, I am going to tell you about a few right now.

The first scholarship that I want to tell you about today is called The Susan Fund. The Susan Fund awards scholarships to current residents of Fairfield County, Connecticut who have been diagnosed with cancer at some time in their lives. Recipients must be students who are planning to attend an institution of higher education.

The second scholarship is the Patty and Melvin Alperin First Generation Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors from the state of Rhode Island, whose parents did not graduate from college. These students must demonstrate financial need and must be accepted to or enrolled at an accredited college or university.

The final scholarship is the Michele Marks-McCormick Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded in memory of Michele Marks-McCormick, an American pilot and flight instructor who lost her life in a plane crash in 2005. The recipient of this scholarships must be a licensed pilot.
