Hi everyone! After a bit of a hiatus from our weekly New Scholarships Alerts, I am back with some awesome awards for you this week!
The first scholarship I want to tell you about today is The New York Times College Scholarship Program. This program was established in 1999 and since then grown to award 20 Times Scholars each year. Each student chosen for this award receives a four-year college scholarship, mentoring, and summer employment. If you plan on studying journalism or any related field definitely check it out.
The second award I have for you is the CBC Spouses Performing Arts Scholarship. The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation will award up to $3,000 to each of 10 students studying drama, music, dance, opera, or other types of music. It is a great opportunity for any student in one of these areas.
The final scholarship for today is the Washington State Opportunity Scholarship. This award was created by Washington State Legislature in 2011 to address rising tuition at Washington colleges and universities. It is a public-private partnership funded initially with $5 million from the state of Washington. Boeing and Microsoft have committed $50 million combined. If you are a student from Washington state it is absolutely worth looking into.
That’s it for today! If none of these scholarships interest you, be sure to check out all of the new scholarships posted weekly on Student Scholarship Search. Have a great weekend!
