Today is the last day in February which means two things:

1. It is the last day to enter the February scholarship drawings
2. It is the last day to vote for the next Scholarship Idol

Tomorrow we will be announcing the winners of ten scholarships totaling $8,500. Not only will we have winners for the monthly Free College Scholarship and monthly sponsored scholarships, but we will also crown the winners of Scholarship Idol!

If you have any last minute scholarship points to enter into the drawings, or if you want to give your favorite Scholarship Idol video one last vote, login to ScholarshipPoints now because you only have a few hours left!

As February comes to a close, we’re getting ready to select this month’s scholarship winners. There’s less than a week left to enter, so get your entries in by February 28th! Winners will be drawn March 1st, so make sure to check the winner’s page to see if you’re one of them!

What is in it for you? Every day that you vote you will receive a new code worth 25 scholarship points and receive an entry into a $500 voter scholarship. First, I know all of you frequent the internet, otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this, so this scholarship might be perfect for you. It’s the ScholarGamers.com scholarship, and yes, you can win scholarships by gaming. Sign up for their site to play your way to one of over a dozen scholarships for 2011. Not a bad deal if you ask me.

Now to the second scholarship I want to tell you about! WyzAnt Tutoring is offering $6,000 in scholarships to three lucky students. In order to apply, you must write an essay about the most important teacher, tutor, or coach in your life. But that’s not all. You can promote your essay via social media outlets and the finalists will be determined by popular vote!

Lastly, the National Hemophilia Foundation offers a yearly scholarship to a student with hemophilia A or B. The Kevin Child Scholarship will be awarded based on academics, school or community involvement, and an essay detailing educational and career goals.

It is that time again! The March $10,000 scholarship drawing has been announced! This is the first of four $10,000 scholarship drawing of 2011.

Entries will be accepted until Sunday, February 13th. On February 14th, the 10 finalists will be chosen to proceed to the voting period. Greetings scholarship enthusiasts! I hope everyone is having an excellent start to 2011 and getting a jump on their FAFSA for next year. In the meantime, I would like to let you know about some new scholarship opportunities which you can find on StudentScholarshipSearch.com.

The Answers.com Scholarship Program is offering 13 scholarships for the 2011-2012 academic year. They are giving away $20,000 to deserving students who show knowledge and dedication in helping to build the WikiAnswers worldwide Q&A community. In order to participate, you must sign in to Answers.com and answer at least 50 questions of your choice. You can then submit your application along with these questions and they will be reviewed by a panel of judges for quality and accuracy. Deadline to apply is March 28, 2011.

The Vegetarian Resource Group is currently accepting applications for their scholarship program until February 20, 2011. This scholarship is open to high school students graduating in the Spring of 2011. The two $5,000 awards will be given to students who have “shown compassion, courage, and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian diet/ lifestyle”. To enter you must submit an application, along with an essay addressing a number of points. You can visit their website to download an application and learn more about the scholarship.

The last scholarship I have to tell you about is the Frame My Future Scholarship Contest 2011 from Church Hill Classics. This scholarship does not require essays or applications and is meant to be a fun and creative experience. Open to all legal US residents who are enrolled full-time for the 2011-2012 academic year, applicants must submit an original entry piece that shares “what you want to achieve in your personal and professional life after college”. Deadline to apply is March 2, 2011.
