09.29.10 | Back-to-School Member Madness – Referring your friends is a win-win!

Posted in Scholarship Contests by Kristin Ferguson

As we announced last week, we are giving new and existing ScholarshipPoints members the chance to win up to $1,750 this fall with Back-to-School Member Madness. On November 1st, we will be drawing three Member Madness Scholarships. All you have to do to be eligible for the drawings is join ScholarshipPoints and/or earn scholarship points between September 20th and October 31st.

During Back-to-School Member Madness, one of the best ways to earn scholarship points is to refer your friends to the program. When you refer your friends to ScholarshipPoints two things will happen:

1: They will become eligible for a $250 scholarship: Every new ScholarshipPoints member who registers between now and October 31, 2010 will automatically be eligible for the $250 scholarship.

2: You will earn scholarship points towards the $500 and $1,000 scholarships: For each friend you successfully refer to ScholarshipPoints, you will earn 50 scholarship points. That means you only have to refer two friends to automatically qualify for the $500 scholarship and ten friends to automatically qualify for the $1,000 scholarship.

Back-to-School Member Madness is going on now so don’t miss your chance to refer friends and win free money for college!

09.27.10 | ScholarshipPoints.com Awards $10,000 Scholarship to University of Kentucky Student

Posted in Scholarship Contests by Kristin Ferguson

ScholarshipPoints.com, a free college scholarship rewards program, helps one college senior finish her degree.

QUINCY, MA (September 28, 2010) – ScholarshipPoints, an Edvisors online education company, recently awarded their fourth $10,000 scholarship of 2010 to Melissa Jones of the University of Kentucky. This scholarship award is a testament to ScholarshipPoints’ commitment to defraying the cost of college for students in need of financial assistance. Through their free scholarships program, ScholarshipPoints will help students of all ages achieve their dreams of a college education by giving away up to $100,000 in 2010. To ensure funds are used for educational purposes, awards are sent directly to the student’s financial aid office.

Jones, who is in her senior year at the University of Kentucky, said that being an out-of-state student has put a lot of financial pressure on her since the beginning of her college career. After receiving the award she expressed,  “I can now focus solely on my academics during my last stretch of college without the financial burden.”

With over 1.3 million members, ScholarshipPoints is one of the Internet’s most unique scholarship rewards programs. Students who join the program have the opportunity to complete activities in order to earn scholarship points. Each scholarship point equals one entry into a scholarship drawing. The more scholarship points a member enters into a drawing, the greater their chances are of winning. In addition to the $10,000 scholarship drawings, ScholarshipPoints members have the opportunity to win a number of $500, $1,000 and $2,500 sponsored scholarships every month.

Since the beginning of this year, ScholarshipPoints has given away almost $80,000 with $9,000 more to be awarded on October 1st. This puts the program on pace to give away over $100,000 in scholarship funds by the end of the year. “Because of our growing membership and supportive sponsors, we are on track to meet our goal of awarding $100,000 in scholarship for 2010,” said Thy Nguyen, Product Director for ScholarshipPoints.com. “This is great news for our members and we hope that we will be able to grow this number every year.”

The next $10,000 scholarship winner will be drawn on December 15, 2010. To enter the December $10,000 scholarship drawing or any of the monthly sponsored scholarship drawings, visit www.ScholarshipPoints.com.
