Hello there ScholarshipPoints members (and non-members)! We are coming to the end of January which means it is almost time to announce the winner of the January $1,000 Free College Scholarship. Sunday is your last day to enter so you still have time to earn more points!

If you are not a member yet there is also still time for that. If you join now you can start earning points and enter to win the scholarship we will be awarding in just three days!

Study AbroadOnce again, I am here to tell you about a few new scholarships that have popped onto my radar this week. Now I have to say that some of these are a little bit specialized, but who knows if you could qualify!

Marist anyone?:  Marist college and the National Science Foundation have joined forces to award 12 full scholarships to highly talented students who plan on majoring in Computer Information Systems. If you think you have what it takes this is a great opportunity!

Lovers of international study: I often have students ask me what kinds of scholarships are available for international study which is why I was thrilled to come across the Boren Awards for International Study. Boren Scholarships and Fellowships provide an unique opportunities for U.S. undergraduate and graduate students to add an important international and language component to their educations. We focus on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study that are critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad.

For the business savvy: DECA’s Scholarship Program provides over $300,000 in scholarships at the International Career Development Conference each year. More than 50 corporations provide scholarships to future marketing and management leaders  through the DECA Scholarship Program. These scholarships are all based on merit.
