02.17.09 | Blogging for Dollars
Well, not dollars exactly but lots of points! Do you have a blog? Would you like to earn some major points to use for entries into the fast approaching $10,000 scholarship drawing? If so, read on.
Here Are the Details
We’re giving 100 Scholarship Points to any member who writes a review of the ScholarshipPoints program. We want honest reviews so if there are things we can improve upon, include them in your review. The rules are simple…
- Your review must be 200 words or more.
- You must include at least one direct link to ScholarshipPoints.com.
- Your blog must not contain excessive profanity or be deemed offensive in any way (our call).
- You must publish your review to your blog by March 17, 2009.
Once you have published your review, email winscholarships@scholarshippoints.com with the subject “Blogging for Dollars” and include 1) the URL of your blog post 2) the email address associated with your ScholarshipPoints account. All points will be posted directly to your account on or shortly after the March 17 deadline. In plenty of time to load up on the $10K drawing!
Don’t Have a Blog?
If you don’t have a blog, start one! There are many free, quick, and easy to use blogging platforms. A few of the most popular ones are:
- Blogger is Google’s free tool for creating blogs.
- LiveJournal is a virtual community where Internet users can keep a blog, journal or diary.
- MovableType is a weblog publishing system developed by the company Six Apart.
- Typepad – paid hosted blogging platform. You can host your blog on yourname.typepad.com or yourname.com.
- Wordpress is an open source blog publishing application.
- Don’t forget to check with your school to see if they offer students blogs.

I can’t believe how easy it is to get points on this site. I thought it was fake before, because it just seemed too good to be true. I hope it does work to my advantage, because I’m having fun using it. Great site!

scholarshippoints.com is very easy to use and allows students to gain points to use towards drawings for winning scholarships. Some of the sponsers however, I feel take you around the block and pressure you into signing up for something that we, as students, can not afford to maintain, such as a credit card, or other services that you would have to pay a monthly fee to use. Personally, I move on to the next opportunity and don’t bother to take the much needed points. As a student, I am already in debt and cannot afford any other obligation. Other than that, I think scholarshippoints.com is a fun website that is easy to use.

The scholarshippoints program is amazing the best part is that you can start in eight grade and add your points up to enetr scholarships and theres so many diferent chances to earn points you earn points just by logging in everyday it’s amazing!

I am a high school senior and have been accepted to university. I am pretty excited, but realize how expensive this is going to be. I was glad to find this website. Its more fun than the endless searching and filing I do on FastWeb.
I don’t have a lot of time to watch TV so get stumped on the professor questions. How about making them more school oriented…maybe more questions about government or society.
